Dr. Patricia Rist
Patty Rist, DMD, is a Board-certified Pediatric Dentist. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in biological sciences in 2001 and then received her dental degree with honors from Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University in 2010. After dental school, Dr. Patty completed a General Practice Residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, where she had extensive training in dental emergencies and in working with medically-compromised patients. She continued her education by completing a two-year Pediatric Dentistry residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, also in Philadelphia. In 2014, Dr. Patty became a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. After completing her residencies, she worked in private practice for three years before joining Gentle Touch Smiles for Kids in 2016. Dr. Patty was also part-time clinical instructor in the Pediatric Dental Clinic at the Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University. She has clinical privileges at Christiana Care Health System’s Roxana Canon Arsht Surgical Center.
Dr. Patty is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She lives in the suburbs of Philadelphia with her husband, Jeremy, and their son, Greg and daughter, Emily.


Dr. Era Pyakurel
Dr. Era graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Surgery from Manipal College of Dental Sciences in India. After practicing for a few years in Nepal she moved to the United States. She then earned a Master’s Degree in Health Sector Management from Arizona State University. After which she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Kornberg School of Dentistry, at Temple University. She then practiced dentistry in Florida before deciding to move back to the northern region of the east coast.
When she is not working, Dr. Pyakurel enjoys spending time with her little boy. She also loves reading, hiking and exploring new places with her family.
